Revenue

What is Revenue?

Revenue is the total money a company brings in from selling its goods or services before any expenses are subtracted. It is also called sales or the top line.

Why it matters

Growing revenue is the foundation of growing profit. Profit is what remains after costs, which is why it is called the bottom line.
