What is Undervalued?
A stock is undervalued when its market price looks lower than its estimated intrinsic value, for example based on earnings or assets.
Why it matters
Value investors seek these, but a cheap-looking stock may be cheap for good reason. Valuation is an estimate and can be wrong.
