Rebalancing

What is Rebalancing?

Rebalancing is periodically buying and selling to bring your portfolio back to its target mix, for example 60% stocks and 40% bonds.

Why it matters

Winners grow into a larger share over time and raise your risk. Rebalancing, perhaps once a year, keeps risk in line with your plan.
