What is Call Option?
A call option gives its holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy a stock at a set price (the strike) before a certain date (expiration). Buyers pay a premium for that right.
Why it matters
Calls let traders bet on a rise with limited upfront cost, but they can expire worthless. Options are complex and risky, and most beginners should learn them well before using them.
